Hello!
My name is Abby Dunkin! I am almost done with my elementary education degree! I hope to one day teach art, but also love reading and writing! I am getting married in July, to my very amazing best friend. He is a federal corrections offer! We have 2 doggie babies. Remi and Rowdy! They are the best! Remi is a black lab, and Rowdy is a rescue. We are not too sure what he is. We think a husky and ridgeback! I grew up in Kansas City, on the Missouri side! I have loved it! My fiancé grew up in Louisiana, which we plan to return to soon. He has a sister, and she is about to have our first niece! We can’t wait to be an aunt and uncle. We are very close with them. Family is a huge part of our life and one of our biggest values. I have a 17-year-old brother, he is my buddy! I love being outside with my dogs, we like to hike and bike. I also love, cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with my friends and family. My mom is a nurse, and my dad is a manager at a local sporting goods store. (I actually met my Fiancé there, I worked there in high school..lol!) We love traveling too. We have traveled to over 11 states together and one country. We are taking our honeymoon to Alaska this summer, and we can’t wait to check off another place! The cruise also goes to Canada so we even get to knock off another country!
I currently work at a junior high school as a full-time building substitute. I absolutely love my job and the opportunities it has given me. I do a different job every day, just wherever we need coverage. I have loved working in the same building, with the same children every day. I have gained so many relationships. I have always wanted to be a teacher. I have always loved leading, and working with others! I am a people person, without a doubt! I started my education career, in my senior year of high school, it was COVID time, so I spent a lot of time outside of high school. We only had class two days a week, and the other three days I spent working at a local elementary school. It was an education internship program, and it completely changed my life. I was able to learn the ropes and work with an amazing mentor teacher, who I still speak with to this day. I have worked in education since age 17, and hopefully for the rest of my life!

I love that you love to travel. We do, too, and it is an important part of our life. We have an RV and we love to cruise. We also just like to GO and do all the things. I am sorry that CC is losing you as a student, but so happy you are so close to completing your journey!
